Bring to a boil: Add the first 11 ingredients to a large stockpot or deep sided sauté pan. Stir together and allow mixture to come to a boil over medium-high heat. When the mixture comes to a boil, reduce heat and simmer and continue cooking for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking. Most of the liquid should be absorbed.
Add the Alfredo sauce: Stir in the Alfredo sauce and continue to simmer for another 5 minutes or until the pasta is just tender.
Add the cheese: Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese.
Taste and Season: Taste and add more salt and pepper as needed and sprinkle in the red pepper flakes if you like.
Serve: Divide pasta into individual bowls and garnish with more grated Parmesan cheese and fresh chopped basil leaves.
