Spicy Air Fryer Salmon Bites-Quick and Flavor-Packed
It’s tender cubes of salmon chunks tossed in a bold spice mix with a touch of brown sugar, then air fried to crispy perfection. They’re perfect for bowl meals, tacos, wraps or straight off the plate.
Prepare Salmon: If you are not using skinless salmon, remove the skin from your salmon. Pat the salmon with paper towels to dry the surface.
Cube the Salmon: Cut your salmon into 1 or 2 inch cubes, place them in a shallow dish and drizzle the oil over the cubes. Toss the cubes well to make sure they are all coated, set aside.
Mix the spices: In a large bowl combine the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, cayenne, Aleppo pepper flakes, brown sugar, and salt. Mix with your finger to make sure there are no brown sugar clumps.
Toss salmon cubes: Add the cubed salmon bites to the spice mixture and gently toss to coat.
Air fry the salmon: Oven air fry - Select air fryer function to preheat to 400 degrees. Line a shallow baking pan with parchment paper, place a wire rack in the baking pan. (You may want to spray the rack with a bit of cooking spray to make cleanup easier). Place the salmon on the rack leaving a bit of space between each piece to allow the air to flow around each piece for even cooking. Cook for 8-10 minutes.
Basket air fryer - Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees. Place the salmon bites on the basket of the air fryer in an even layer with space between them. If your air fryer is small you will have to work in batches. Air fry for 8-10 minute
Serve: Place your salmon bites on a serving dish and serve immediately.
